I just got the Trendnet TEW 452-BRP today. I followed the instruction to set the router. However, at the last step,it's said not successful. It showed " Error 302 Internal error" :( I have no idea what it's.
I tried to ignore the information thy said. And the attach software "network magic"said network is connected   The router only has the "router" light on,the "wireless"light is out. Then I used my laptop( Acer AS5720-4258) and tried to connect to the wireless network. It can search my router network name, but thy require me to put the WEP,I dont know which one is. Coz when I set up the router, there is router password and encryption key. I tried both of them, but my laptop kept saying it's incorrect

This is my first time to set up the router,I dont know how to fix it. And I need all your help!! Thanks. :notworthy:

Sometimes the wep key is written on the back or bottom of the router, is called WEP KEY.

How many computers are you working with?

    I only saw
    Lan MAC:0014D****700
    WAN MAC: 0014D****701/FCC
    FCC ID: NHP****210
    Which one is it??? thanks

I only have one desktop and one laptop. Since I bought the laptop,i want to connect the laptop with the internet. But I never set up a router b4 :( The instruction of the router is so so so simple to find out the problem. I even search for solutions on the internet, but found nothing similar about my problem :(

why don't you try resetting your router to get rid of whatever default passwords or any PW that you may have unintentionally set. There should be a rest switch on the back of the router. Read the directions on exactly how to reset it as they are not all alike.

There is no wep key on the router!!

Be sure you have set the router for wifi broadcast.

Then, UNINSTALL Network Magic. It can cause you problems w/ Windows/Intel Wireless tools. And be sure to delete the network magic driver. It can be like a parasite and difficult to delete.

I did reset my router 2 times. I followed the reset button to reset everything. However,it doesnt work. In fact, the set up CD tht come with the router cant run :( whenever I try to run it, it's said elevation~~faint. But the other things like" User directions","bonus install" works except the installation option. Then I need to download the set up software from their offical wedsite. That software come with the "Network Magic" when u install the router. But it's not hard to uninstall it.

How can i make sure the router for wifi broadcast??

    Thanks Nobscot6 :)

it should be under "wireless settings" in setup for the router

set up the router from a wired pc (to router)

I'll be back on late tonight after we get back from a big party (maybe).

In my Actiontec router the SSID and the WEP KEY are written in the bottom of the router.

You can access your router to make changes and enter a SSID or WEP/WPA key the following way; you can do it using the ethernet connection you currently have. In IE type 192.168.1.1 and then you will have access to the settings. The user ID and Password to get into the router are both admin.

Once you are done with setting the WEP/WPA and SSID you have chosen in the router, use windows to setup the wiresless network.

In IE type 192.168.1.1 and then you will have access to the settings.

I did this part too~~I only tried to change the password one time, and the laptop still doesnt work.

I was wondering whether it's the installation problem cause all those problem. Coz the installation is not compeleted. Thy kept saying it's the "Error 302 Internal Error". And the "wireless light" never turn on. Only the router light itself is on.

I may try to set the password by using the 198.168.1.1 and see whether it works this way.

    Thank you wirelessman!! :)
