My Compaq laptop is no longer working so I thought I'd whip out my old IBM Thinkpad T23 and use that.

I totally forgot that it doesn't have a wireless card in it and I can't get on the internet at home at all.

I'm getting married next year and I REALLY don't want to spend the money on a new laptop. I searched high & low but I can't find anything on the web that tells me what I need to do.

So my ? to you guys is, is there hope for my poor little IBM Thinkpad T23?
If so what do I have to do that's not that technical to get on the internet @ home?

    Thanks!!!

    $18 w/free shipping

Should do the job just fine. In the meantime, you should be able to plug the Thinkpad into your router.

Yes you are right, it's ancient but until I can save up some money for a new laptop I figured I have 2 old ones might as well see if 1 of them would work.

My OS is Windows 2000 professional.

So all I have to do with those links you guys sent me is plug & play? I have a wireless Linksys router in my home. I had no probelm getting on the internet with my Compaq so I'm assuming this adapter plays the role of a wireless card?

I may be wrong, but I think windows didn't become truly plug and play until XP. Although, installation won't be difficult because whichever you buy SHOULD come with some driver discs. What's wrong with the Compaq? maybe we can fix that :GEEK:
