I'm at college and am unfortunately way far from the from the wireless router signal. I will usually get cut from the connection every hour or so and end up frustrated that my download did not complete or was doing something in the middle of gaming.

Are there ways of increasing my pick-up range of the signal? I've been looking at Omni-Directional antennas, but that would require direct setup to the router. (obviously not an option)

I'm on a inspiron e1505 with my network card on the max settings trying to get more signal.
    Thanks in advance.

That Super Cantenna is a great find grafeful personally haven't seen anything like it. I don't know how far you're away from the router signal but I would opted for the cantenna.
