Whenever i add a pw on my wireless through the website forgot the web adress liek the http://1995.435 etc. when i add a pw the desktop shuts itself down and i have to reboot and use safemode. THen i have to use my macbook to take the password away so my home computer can reconect to the internet. THough for some reason my macbook can connect to the internet using the pw and not shut itself down. My desktop is using xp home. I have no clue im completly confused. Dunno kinda made this confusin but in simple terms. When i create a password on the wirless my desktop shuts down and have to boot up through safe mode. THen take password down for it to work.

You need to use the wired port to set the sec key. Most all router do a mini reboot and dumps the wireless off. Once set you will need to remove the location and re-add it.

Yes. Whenever you make changes to the router, you need to connect via ethernet cable.
