    I HAVE A PANASONIC CF-27 LAPTOP (EX bT). i HAVE A SIM FROM A USB DONGLE AND ARE ATTEMPTING TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET WITHI. IT. I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SET UP A DIAL UP CONNECTION ON WINDOWS 98 SE. ANY IDEAS? :)

    Assuming you have the modem drivers installed, too, you should be able to set up the Dial-up connection in the properties window of the internet explorer.

    Once you get into the properties window, you should see a 'connections' tab and you can add it there. It will take you through all of the necessary dialogue boxes and all you really have to know is who the provider is, your user name, and the phone number to dial out to connect to their servers.

    The only thing after that is hoping that setting up the connection that way will be accepted by the ISP. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
