This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I posted this over at notebookforums.com also but since there has been an interest here as well as most forums I thought it needed posted here too. I ran across the link over at evdoforums.com for the first pcmcia to usb adapter for cell connect cards.

    This is the first adapter I've seen on a US site for the 32 bit pcmcia cell connection cards and it certainly isn't cheap. I've seen the elan listed overseas but this looks like the same thing but available in the US. Here and quiet a few other forums there has been people wanting these things but the price is more than I expected. Hopefully we will see more down the road at a more acceptable price.

    I've been looking for something like that also, but at that price ... no way .... it will have to come down to around $50 before I'll bite. :( :(
