    Hi Guys
Whats happening is that when I connect with my onboard WIFI, not a problem, connects like a charm, but when I use either of the PCMCIA cards I have available, the connection takes its sweet time, only showing "Identifying... *home network*" before changing to "Unidentified network" with no internet access

One card I have used on the home network successfully, but that was before I formatted my HDD and reinstalled Windows 7.

The problem happens even when I turn the onboard WIFI off (had both connecting successfully previously)

From everything I can find, the PCMCIA cards are installed with the correct drivers and everything, and share the same network settings as my onboard unit.

its just bugging me that its worked before, but not anymore.... what am I doing wrong?

DNS misconfiguration will kill your internet access... I know you said you compared setting between the adapters.

Also, Do you have access to your internal network with both adapter enabled?

Perhaps you can post the results of "ipconfig /all" with both adapters enabled.

PCMCIA is ancient dinosaur stuff so we've gotta be talking a, b or g card. Drivers may be too old and not support your encryption type or other wifi settings on the router.
