Would a half height pcie mini card fit in a full height card slot? It seems like the connectors are the same and that the only difference is the height of the card.
Im just wondering as I have an extra 6300N card but my laptop has a full height card.
    Thanks in advance

Yes but you might not be able to screw it down, unless screws aren't needed or half-height screw holes are there as well.

Hmm looks like Ill try putting the card in tonight after work.
Does the card have to be screwed in or is that just extra support?

There was some talk about somebody securing there half card on another post recently in this forum. I do not recall the exact thread. You need it to be snug enough that it does not fall out if your laptop is moved around while commuting with it.

The card needs to be screwed down or else it will pop right up.

You might be able to get away with heavy duty double sided tape.
