Recently the city added wifi, but the signal is weak where I live and I am trying to add a antenna outside such as a directional yagi or etc.
I would like to put the antenna just a few feet outside and run a short low loss coaxial cable inside just a few feet, as to try to avoid major loss in a long cable. My question is: Can I use a D Link range extender or access point device and run the antenna cable directly to it. Then I could you my computer wirelessly thru out house. I don't understand the difference in a range extender and a access point device from D link. I would like to use a D link because I also have a desk top pc with a D link card.
I hope someone can help me out with this as I would like to order a antenna and cable.

interesting. something must be wrong with the website. Anyhow, what's the point of including a hd-dvd drive when hd dvd already lost? This must be the first notebook I see that gets close to 10,000 on 3dmark 06

8800M... GT? I thought only GTS and GTX flavors were available?

Also, you hijacked a thread :p

Anyway nice review. Sad to see great notebooks with poor build quality. And vice-versa.

A bit disappointed with the GPU, could that be because of the driver?

Yeah, somethings wrong with things if it can't run Crysis at 1280x800 on low better than that. Might want to double check the drivers or the power profiles.
