I am kind of interested in this card, but I am also curious about whether my laptop satisfies requirements for it. I would really appreciate your help.

The wireless cards don't take much horsepower from a system performance perspective. The only thing of any importance is the operating system and with Win2000 you'll be fine. We'll assume you know the differences between the B and G protocols and that you have determined B is all you need.
