    Ordered DSL. What esle do i need?

    So i ordered DSL modem. What else do i need? (special cord?)

    The modem, cables and all should be provided by your DSL provider.

    Actually, it should come with the modem but it depends. :p

    Did you get a router yet? Please be more specific for things like what your connecting the modem to. It more than likely comes with an ethernet card for either plugging one computer to the modem. Or you can plug the ethernet cord from the modem to the router. Then have wireless and 4 LAN ports.

    I'm curious...do that many providers really make you purchase a DSL modem? All high speed providers around here freely provide DSL or cable modems(and all necessary cables for a single computer install). There's no contracts and you don't even have to return the equipment when you end service(except Time Warner occasionally collects the modems if you had cable boxes in the house...but some friends who didn't have cable boxes, they never had to turn their cable modem in either).

    Yeah, Time Warner makes you return everyting. When I stopped useing Verizon DSL, they did same.

    I just signed up with Qwest. The modem they sent me already had wireless. If you don't get that you will need a wireless router.
