Im trying to play starcraft however, it wont allow me to because it say port 6112 is either closed or i have bad internet connection. I can play other games so that means the port 6112 si closed for some reason. I play through LAN with an ethernet cable. Otheres can play through the cable which means the problem is with my computer.

Is there anyway someone could help me out on how to open up this port? I know the problem is specific to my computer only.

If all the players are inside your Local Area Network, then it is a problem with your PC. Check firewall settings. Do you have a 3rd party firewall ? If you only have Windows firewall, then add an exception for starcraft.exe (or whatever the game exe) in the firewall settings.

If you are playing with people over the internet, then you’ll have to forward port 6112 in your router.
