I have a few questions regarding OpenDNS.

First, it's marketed to bigger venues like businesses, how about on the household level?

Second, My parents have a program called NetNanny, which even though it blocks most the filth (and much more) is VERY annoying, and they are looking for a good alternative to keep the filth out. I was wondering if OpenDNS would be a good alternative ( http://www.opendns.com/features/adult/).

Third, will it affect gaming performance (I'm looking to use it as well), as far as ping/packet loss/choke?

Fourth, will it increase/decrease browsing at all?

Thanks for any and all advice!

I've had OpenDNS as the DNS servers programmed into my router for over a year now. No problems at all.

I've not noticed any major problems. At one point in time, I had an Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, and gaming PC hooked up with OpenDNS and had no major issue. Browsing speed is also unaffected. Of course, this is coming from a Crapcast user, so my experience may not jibe with others who have better ISPs. ;)
