Hopefully somone has an idea on solving this one.

I'm trying to log into Shadowbane through a corporate network. When I am on the netwrok, I can log in to the patcher, and download patches, I can then get to the game server to enter my account login and password. Once I login, finding the game server is where it stops. I immediately get a message that the "Server is Busy" - regardless of the time of day.

I believe this is probably a Vista/network thing. I have run the program as an administrator, so I have that covered, but I figure there is a firewall check box somewhere or something like that that I missed.

I am able to log in fine outside of this corporate network, so I know it has to be a blockage in the corporate network or how vista is interacting with the corporate network.

    Anyone have any ideas?

The corporate network your connected to probably have the gaming ports blocked.

Dont ask how to bypass it. You will have to ask your Network administrator to open these ports for you.

And it's not really a "business function" the gaming, so that might not work so well for you.

Flipfire - thanks for the response - agree with the network administrator thing, is there a way to determine "which ports these are?"

and I agree Miller - although pvp'n takes out aggression that I don't have to take out on my staff ;-) - btw I own the company, so fortunately I get to determine whether it's a business function..

    I appreciate the help guys.

It depends on the game, often the game web site will indicate which port to use. You can also see the ports description and status in the router configuration page.
