I wanted to post about this to see if any of you have experienced a similar issue than I have. In not wanting to have Intel's bloated wireless management software on my system, I uninstalled it and manuall installed just the drivers themselves. When I did this, I went to the wireless network setup wizard, saw my network, and attempted to connect. It went through the motions, but then coughed up an error saying that the network was unavailable. It worked perfectly fine with the Intel software.

However, when I went into the advanced connection properties, I manually entered the SSID and passcode, it connected and worked perfectly. I must say I'm perplexed by this and wondered if anyone had similar experiences or insights.
