I have an Asus A53sv laptop. I recently bought an Intel N 6300 wlan card. Knowing that this card uses a third antenna i bought some Tyco Bluetooh WIFI antennas. After installing the card and attaching a third antenna Im only seeing 300 Mbps. I've tried changing around the atennas and regardless I dont see any improvement.

I have a Linksys E4200 router. Its setup correctly. My work laptop with an N5300 connects to it at 450 mbps so I dont think its an issue with the router configuration.

Any ideas? Would buying better high quality antennas do anything? Im sure this is a longshot but does the three antenna need to match?

Im out of ideas. Any help is much appreciated.

I think you need to set one of the advanced wlan nic settings from 20mhz to auto or vice versa
