    Newly installed Atheros a/b/g card won't connect

    Check device manager to see if the card is disabled or has an error/stop code. Its probably white listed (blocked) by the bios. What brand laptop do you have? Its possible to get a modded bios to remove this block.

    I'm using a Thinkpad T60 and this card is an OEM part that was available from the factory in these machines. There shouldn't be any issue of it being white listed.

    Device manager shows it as working properly.
