    I been wondering from this list is the top item on the list the newest wifi ??

    -N 1000, 2000 and 6000 series are the current ones as far as I know.

    ok, So the wifi at the top of the list is Intel newest one? If so I did order Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 to test on my HP dv family laptop to see if it works and if so will order more to replace the older 5100 units and maybe a 6300 3 wire antenna from the older 4965AGN. Because these units seem to recognize only intel wifi cards from trial and error of switching wifi cards so far.

    HP whitelists their wireless adapters, you'll likely need an HP specific one.

    No. Take a close look at the list. It is just in alpha-numeric order. The order of the list has nothing to do with what is newest or anything like that.

    The Intel 6300 is the current top of the line, followed by the different flavors of 6200. The 6250 WiMAX is if you plan on connecting to WiMAX... Otherwise it is a more expensive 6200.
