I have Verizon DSL at home. I am planning to buy a new laptop later this month (as soon as laptops come out with Windows 7 pre-installed).

Looking for a reliable wireless router to have a fast connection to the internet anywhere in my apartment.

I don't need anything special or fancy, just want a reliable product that is very easy to set up at a good price.

    Any recommendations?

Thanks a lot! The first one seems a bit too expensive. The 2nd one is refurbished. I am not too concerned about the range because I live in a 1-bedroom New York apartment (I just need to make sure it works in my bedroom or living room). I wonder if there are other less expensive options.

Really, most any router will be as fast as you need. All routers run faster than your Internet connection will. For a cheap, reliable router, look into the basic Netgear and D-Link models. Those have been pretty solid in my experience. Check out www.newegg.com and look for the routers that have 4 or more eggs rating.

If you do it ASAP, there's a heck of a deal on a router right now that looks pretty decent from the reviews (can't kick $24 including shipping in the teeth)
