    New wireless internet, cant play BF2

    we just set up our house fr wireless internet, and for the most part it works great, ecept for when it come to playing BF2 and my other games...I cant connect online in my games, I have no clue what is going on. I know its not the laptop itself b/c i just came back from my friends house and i can play online there at around 40-60 latency...any help would be greatly appriciated

    Can you play if you connect the laptop up to the router by a cat5 cable?

    In most cases, this is a firewall problem, either on your machine or in your router.

    If it works by wire, it is your machine, if it still does not work, it is your router

    Battlefield 2 requires a whole slew of ports to be open to work as I recall.
