I decided to change my entire home network from provider to router and wan card on my laptop. Now i have some very bad and laggy 12mbps adsl and with router from the provider (with one anthena and G network).Very bad.I decide to buy killer n 1102 and change the internet with 35mbps.The only thing left is new router.I look for something dual band.3 laptop will connect simultaneously one is with g network adapter and from time to time some android device wich is also G.But i dont know very much about network and routers.I will do task like Online gaming BF 3 ,Stracraft 2 and downloadind stuf torrent etc.Live in appartment and the range is not so important.I choice between thise 3 -netgear 3700;linksys 3200;ASUS RT-N56U.E4200 is too expensive and it is 3x3 which is useless for me.Now i lean to asus because is the newer one adn it look nice.I want to know is this router noob frendly.I just want to establish dual band network and may be hook one hdd to share movies through the router if it is not very hard.I dont have the time to deep down to this networ stuff and i want something simple and stable. :D

Asus will do the job fine although I'd go for Netgear WNDR3700 as it offers similar wireless throughput in good signal conditions ans better range/throughput in bad signal conditions.

I can't comment on the ease of use- all routers seem to be straightforward to me.

Yes.I do some research and i think that the netgear3700 is the best choice.Include all the features of other two and it is cheaper. It is best for me.But here i find only v.1 wich is without ipv6.Is this something important or can live without this. And people have complain with unstable conections?

Version 1 is actually better- it uses better antennas so both range and throughput are even better than with v2.

There were some issues with some v1s which amounted to wireless radios dying but that only applied to some units with a range of serial numbers- it's been fixes since.
Besides you'll be covered by warranty.

So all in all if you can buy a new WNDR3700 v1 covered by warranty it's a great deal.
