I just bought a new wireless card for my girlfriends computer and she is having trouble connecting to programs such as AIM, Ventrilo, Limewire, Xfire, etc....

Now she can go on the internet fine, search websites and everything. Is there a setting in the cards properties that I have to turn on or off? The firewall is off, so I don't believe that is an issue. And my laptop connects fine to all these programs through her network, so I don't believe its the router.

    Any suggestions?

Sound like the MTU is to large. Run cablenut optimizer and see if it corrects the problem. You will need the aux pack that goes with it too. It has more settings.
