I've been having some big issues with the Intel3945 card (running Vista on Dell1520).

My patience has now run out, so I've decided to just try to buy another card.

    1) Anyone have any suggestions for a cheap but good wireless card for Inspiron 1520, that would work well with D-link 635?
    2) Can a laptop have two wireless cards installed at the same time (ie I keep the old one)? Would this give better cover, or would it just mean trouble?

Yes, you can have multiple wireless cards if you have room. I would suggest going to a USB type then you can keep your internal card.

I would expect these problems till (a min 6mo past) the 11n spec is finalized. This happened with 11g but every one has already for got about those problems. And today there is still compatability issues between mfg. With the introduction of 11n the driver just got more complex.
