Hi everyone, I'm a long time reader of notebook review, and now I'm on vacation in Washinton DC. Last Saturday I bought a Toshiba A305 S6898 at Best Buy. In the house where I'm living now, they have a Netgear router, which I can connect to, but cannot connect to the internet.

Also there's another free wifi spot around here, and I can connect without any problems to that one.

    Any thoughts?

    Thx in advance.

Is your firewall blocking the ISP or do you have to configure the comp by entering the CP on the Netgear?

    I'm gonna check the firewall.
I didn't want to config anything in the netgear. Where I am now they've got a sony vaio (2 yrs old( that can connect w/o problems.

    Thx!

EDIT: vista firwall is OFF, now I'm unistalling Norton 360 trial
