    Network setup question

    This is a question on behalf of a friend of mine, who's planning to set up a network along these lines (see attached image).

    Basically, just looking for any suggestions/improvements on the logistics of this architecture.

    Is there a reason the network has to be spit like that? is it for physical location reasons?

    Also, PoE doesnt work as well as i would have hoped. You might want to reconsider that part unless power is an absolute impossibility to that location.

    He said the two networks are in different houses, and the NanoStation requires Power over Ethernet. :cool:

    Is the ISP aware that they're going to be providing service to two separate residences?

    My guess is the point is to try and cut internet costs in half.

    He might want to try some kind of wireless extender. Not sure if it will really be any better then this, but it would be a bit more conventional.
