Would really appreciate some help with the following. Uninstalled Atheros Network Killer Manager from my XPS 15 L521X (windows 8) and it removed the 'Network Controller' drivers as well!! So now I can't access the internet.

Using my desktop PC I tried downloading the network driver package (GFKC_WN_16.8.0_A04) but it won't let me install the software (just says 'The software package cannot be installed on your system'). I cannot locate the CD/DVD that came with my laptop to try reinstalling the drivers from there.

Can someone please help me resolve this issue? I have tried following this link but unclear which chip drivers I need for my laptop ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/killer-network-manager.718101/)

    Thanks in advance.

The Network Manager is not necessary for the Killer N1525 WiFi to work properly.

The Network Manager is part of the Killer Performance Suite and is installed automatically.

Use Windows 8.1 Task Manager or Windows 7 msconfig to stop the Network Manager from running if you don't want it to run on startup.Should be almost same for all brands

The newest Suite and separate Bluetooth drivers can be downloaded from this link.

If you just want a WiFi driver that should give you Internet access try installing this driver>

All previous drivers should be removed before installing the Suite or stand alone driver.

You can use the KillerCleaner x64 app to remove Killer software/drivers

Many thanks for your helpful reply. I ended up reinstalling the Suite as the WiFi drivers alone didn't seem to do the trick.

    Thanks again.
