    Howdy lads!
Im looking for a nice little network card with an option to attach an external antenna. It needs to be USB or PC-card slot.

Its gonna be used to help a friend get wireless from the unibuilding in the other end of the block, as thats the only option for her to get internet :(

search newegg.com, there are loads of them.

I know that you probably don't want to order from newegg (US to Sweden?) but at least you'll have a few model #s to hunt for locally.

Also look for external devices sold to camper/caravan owners. Those things generlly operate at a much higher power output (500Mw and more) vs the standard wifi power rating of under 100 mw. This higher power, along with a more effective antenna, might make a world of difference for your friend. Such devices cost about US $75- or so.

I bet you that it has enough power to warm your hands, if you put your hands near the antenna
That would really draw quite a bit of power from the usb port

You are living in Canada ? Wouldn't it be nice to warm your hands in winter ? :)

USB port can deliver max 2.5 Watt

2 watts of dc power does not equal 2 watts of rf output
