I've been using IBM Thinkpads for the last 8 years. In that time I've become addicted to using an IBM application called Access Connections that allows me to save and seamlessly change between network locations as I move from home to various offices, hotels, hotspots...

The program allowed for saving of basic settings such as network properties but also such useful things as default printer, and proxy settings. This allowed me to simply build a small profile when I went to a location for the first time, install the printer, set the proxy settings (or non) and it would remember the location and automatically and change all those pesky settings every time I was there.

Now I have an HP 8730w. I'm sure it is a fine machine, but I'm frustrated by the lack of what I thought was a normal OEM app to help me.

Does any know of an app that will do what the IBM Access Connections app did on my Thinkpad?
