Ok so i wanting to turn my old computer i got sitting out in my garage into a storage harddrive basicly. The Problem is i don't have a network card in it. It a Dell windows 98 machine with windows xp running on it.

My Question is do i need to get a certain type of network card since the other hardware is old or can i go to the local staples or wal-mart and pick any old network card up?

Any nic card will work as long as it has Win98 drivers.

Take a look at WarFTP. Its a program for turning your win98 PC into a FTP server. Very powerful and wooks great.
