I just got a Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition 360, and I was creating my XBOX live account. After I enter my gamertag, and it passes the availability check. I connect. It stops quickly, saying that I cannot connect at this time.

Naturally, I tried for hours to get it to work, but it didn't. I called Microsoft, and we discovered it had to do with the moderate NAT that all students experience.

It hasn't hindered the functionality in terms of actually using LIVE, as my friends have done fine through crossover cables and ethernet-to-USB adapters. (we don't have wireless) Unfortunately, I'm unable to create my LIVE account, and am earning offline achievements in MW2 for naught. :(

Is there really anything I can do short of contacting the system administrator (who probably won't help) or waiting until I go home for Thanksgiving break?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kierkes
