so after changing my netgear location and arranging the cables my router (netgear DG834) started to produce a click sound that can be heard often (like every 15 min ) , i don't know what is the cause of this , i made sure that the cables are fully inserted , so i am wondering is this a problem ?? should i care ? , If it's a problem what can be the cause??

N.B. : the routers cables now run near an HDMI connector of the Apple TV and the power cord of the apple TV and also sound cables , i did try to shutdown the apple TV but i still heard the click but i didnt try to power off the speakers ..

Check the power brick for the router. It's possible that it's the power brick and not the actual router.

i ll check , but the brick is near the floor and the sound comes from the router , i ll try to find a replacement and check if it's the problem

Correct me if I'm wrong but it's a combo device (router/AP & ADSL modem), right?
ADSL modems tend to do such a thing although most only when restarted- no idea why as there are no moving parts yet the click is quite loud.
Maybe you haven't heard it before if its previous location was farther away from where you are?
Anyway check if it's not the PSU like metril suggested- if not just try to ignore it- it's most likely not dangerous and even if it's a sign of a device dying there's nothing you can do about it.

EDIT:Which version of DG834 is it?

yup it's a combo device , but i am not using it as a modem , it's connected using cable to a 3com router which is use as a router and AP , i only use the netgear as a network extender (switch and wireless AP) , i know i can do nothing if it is dying , but at least i would start saving money for a new router :D

update: i checked the power brick it's not the problem nor the source of the sound

Hard to tell what causes it but mind you- the main chip of the router is also a modem so even if you don't use ADSL that chip is still in use. Since modems tend to "click" on startup (not all of them- I think Broadcom based do this) it may be related to your modem trying to start/detect ADSL connection- pure speculation though.
Still since it's known that it happens with ADSL units and yours is indeed an ADSL unit it doesn't look dangerous.
