    Netgear WNDR3700 not picking up 5ghz

    I just got a Netgear WNDR3700 and a new notebook with a wireless n card. when trying to connect to a network i can pick up the 2.4ghz frequency but the simultaneous 5ghz band isnt being found. Im no expert with routers or networking so i really dont know what to do

    Check the routers set up page. It might be set to only broadcast on 2.4ghz

    What wireless card does your notebook have?

    Its teh ASUS G73JH notebook so I believe it should be an Atheros AR9285

    The card doesn't support 5GHz radio as far as I can tell from the spec sheet.
