Hello! I have a Netgear WGR614V2 Wireless Router and lately I have been experiencing problems with my internet. I currently have roadrunner and have 2 laptops and a wireless Xbox 360 netwrok adapter to the router. Evertime I try to access the internet with more than one computer the connection becomes limited. I usually have to disconnect the power to the router and reset it to get the connection back. But this problem has been happening more frequently as of late. My question is if the problem is with the internet or the router? Thanks in advance...

If only 1 computer is connecting, the one use to setup the account, normally. You need to clone the MAC address of that PC in to the router. This way rr will only see the 1 pc. This will allow the other pc's to connect with out any problem.

See if this corrects your problem.

I had a problem with road runner and my Netgear router in two separate apartments after I moved to NYC where my speed was severely restricted when I connected to the router, but was OK if I connected directly to the internet. (I'm talking dial-up slow). This was even worse if I had multiple computers connected to the router. After talking with an IT friend about the problem he suggested it might be a DNS problem (speed tests showed I was getting decent speed, but web browsing was unbelievably slow). After manually setting the DNS servers in my router to something other then RR (I picked Verizon's DNS servers) my problem went away.

Now this sounds a bit different than your problem (my speed was pretty bad even with just one computer connected to the router) but since it was the same ISP and a similar model of router I thought I'd mention it just in case nothing else works you might want to give this a try.

If you are getting connection but can not do any thing you may need to lower the MTU setting. Most all dsl require 1492, where def max is 1500. Try using cablenut w/opt pack to set your ports up. See if that will help.
