    Hi
Had the router for 3 days and apart from struggling to set it up, finally managed and up until now all OK.

Today, I couldn't get in to the router config - using the same user/password as I had been using all the time up until now.

Eventually, I did a hard reset on the router and went to reset all the parameters to the same as before.

A couple of strange things occurred -

where as before, I used the same log in user name as the SSID and now it insists on using the default user name *but* does use the new password (even though the dialog box comes up with the SSID in the user name box). What is the relationship of the SSID to the user name? I didn't actively change it the first time around to match the SSID but yet this time it remains as the default?

I have set up WPA-PSK with a suitable key, and it seems that it is working fine, and the computer wireless connection settings have the same settings. However, previously, the radio button in the router config would always remain on the WPA-PSK item in the list, now, it insists on having the radio button on disabled? Although the whole setup is behaving as though it is protected, I am dubious about this aspect of the security of my setup. The wireless stations in range list shows the connection to be protected.

Anyone offer any suggestions about these abnormalities?

Is there any possibility that because I performed all of the above using only the wireless connections and not a netwok cable that this is causing any of the above problems? On the first setup, for the initial parts of the setup, I had used a newwork cable before going to the wireless connection.

Sorry for the dumb newbie questions, but hopefully, someone can assist.
