Hey guys I was wondering if you can help me out with making a decision of which router I should buy, I have narrowed it down to two:

Netgear RangeMax 240 Wireless Router (WPNT834NA)
    OR
    Netgear Wireless Router (WPN824NA)

The RangeMax 240 has for supperior speed compared to the WPN824NA but since I am going to use the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network card that is built into my laptop is it worth it to shell out an extra 50 bucks for the RangeMax 240 or will WPN824NA do just fine for me....

If you are not going to use the netgear card, there is no gain.
    Go with the Dlink DGL-4300.

Netgear on gives you 90 days of free tech support.

Im fed up with D Link will never buy one of their products again.
Ok so since I am not going to buy the netgear card its not worth it to spend the extra money for the speed since I wont be able to use it.

I was doing beta testing for Netgear and I can't even get tech support. You get free Phone for 90 days, so if you go that way get all of your question answered and working. If it has a driver problem, those are slow in coming. Take it back if that the case.

I guess since everyone has outsourced customer support has taken a nose dive.

The FVS338 with fw 1.6 could not even renew a IP from My ISP. This make the router useless. I had to do a bunch of screaming at there tech support to even get some beta firmware to fix that. Infact I would guess only 40% of the router functions were functional. Since I kept ripping them in a online support case they closed it on me with out addressing any of the problems. This is after getting a email telling me they replied to the case, yhea closed it. So I opened another and Listed 4 MAJOR Problems, 4 days and no reply at all.

So Don't Buy Netgear. Altease with Linksys you can load After market firmware. And they wonder why users do it.
