I have 4 yr old hp dv1000 pavilion and have been having problems with the wireless internet. When I use the xp software to connect either it will connect with great signal or I get the blue screen of death. On the other hand when I use the intel provided software it will always connect but I get terrible snail speeds. I've tried everything I've found on forums and reformatting but nothing helps.

Doing some research I've learned tons of ppl had problems with the intel 2200 (which is in my laptop). I decided to purchase a new mini pci card but I was wondering if there are any cards out there ppl can recommend that won't have issues? I only need a card that is g, I don't need an n compatible card.
