    Need help with Comcast cable internet and Linksys WRT54G

    My old Dell router finally crapped out on me, so I bought a Linksys WRT54G after reading a few good reviews.

    I am getting extremely slow intermittent connections with it. I can only connect to the internet by using the wired connection. It always fails to connect wireless. Streaming video is like using a 56K connection.

    Can anyone help me?

    i live in ct to "cheers"
    and i have to same company and internet provider "Cheers"


    go here
    http://192.168.1.1/

    leave username blank and for password put admin

    go to adminisration then factory defaults then choose yes

    The password and login he provided are the default passwords for linksys routers. It will come that way out of the box until you change it manually.

    LOL. I'm getting to that point as well. There are so many passwords at my work here that I've had to load a password safe on my phone.
