    Hi all,

Will be signing up ADSL broadband internet access at home soon. I would like to ask if it is better to buy modem and wireless router separately, or those with combined function? And which brand should I go for? My network adapter is 3945ABG and I will be buying from Singapore. Appreciate any help and suggestion. Thanks! :)

I've never bought any packaged modem & router from a dsl provider, it always seemed they charged too much for the routers. I have always just used the modem supplied by the provider and purchased my own router, and have had great success with linksys.

I've had two of thier routers over the last 8+ years without any issues to speak of, but I'm familar with the all in one units you are looking at.

I prefer seperate units. Makes it easer to trouble shoot, and expand.
