    I heard you can using some third party software to flash the router to get more function. Could someone list those third party softwares, and point me to theright direction. I'm totally new to this

    I second the dd-wrt firmware flash, but like vespoli said, be careful make sure you read everything before you go ahead and flash. I've read a few horror stories.
