neither of those are wifi routers, do you not want a wifi router?
-
I dont really need a wifi router, though walmart does have some, which one you people recomed FROM THOSE 2 ROUTES I SAID BEFORE and a wifi one from walmart.
-
Well, what are you in need of doing?
I dont understand...you asked for a router, those arent routers -
I want something to share files and my highspeed.
-
If you want to share a cable/dsl connection, then you need to buy a cable/dsl router.
-
wired, or wireless?

Personally, I'd go for the Linksys...
nick: Those are both routers, it says so right in the description..
Kegobeer: Any router is inherently a "DSL/cable" router... -
@Teranfirbt: No, that is incorrect. If a router does not have the ability to connect directy to a cable connection (or DSL), it cannot be used to share a broadband connection. There are also many settings that are not shared between a broadband router and a non-broadband router.
-
This is completely untrue, if the person has a separate cable or DSL modem. There are some routers that included modems, but the most popular (WRT54G for example, or the Belkin Pre-N one) do not have this feature.
Let's try doing this gently, and have everyone give full answers.
lp33: Do you currently have a cable or DSL modem? (whichever is appropriate to your broadband service). If so, then between those two, the Linksys is a better buy. If not, then let us know and we'll recommend something that has both. Also, if you're certain that you don't need wireless then go with these; if you're not sure that'll remain the case, then let us know and we'll recommend something. -
lol, i think i know what im talking about
What i said is true -

Nothing wrong with running a wired router if wires don't bother you. I'd also say go Linksys, but wow, is that really a Linksys Router on the 2nd link? Never seen anything like that on the Linksys page, and it's not really listed in their support either. Looks like it's a brand called Network Everywhere... unless it's a re-branded Linksys?
-
Yea wires wont bother me, I just saw some wireless ones and said what tha,,, you know. So with that Linksys I'll be able to share files and internet right?
-
I had the 2nd one...its a wireless router...though its slow...
My new one is a d-link 624 108mbps
Need a router,,,,NOW!!!!!!
