Hello there I posted earlier and got some good help, but I decided I don't want to spend $100 on a router since I'm going to be at college most of the time. I just ordered the below system and I want to set up wireless at my house. Should I base what router I get on the speed of my internet? I just did a speed test and it was rated at 2.81 Mbps (Suppose to be 3), but I know I've gotten a little higher. Any recommendations for a router that's not too spendy? Thnx a bunch....

Just get a linksys wrt54g. You can not go wrong with it. I've had mine for about 5 years now i believe and it has never given me an issue.

Because the low price I second nizzy1115, D-Link and Netgear will cost you more.

I think I would go with the Linksys 150 or 160 11n routers for lo cost. It will give you a GigE Switch. That way you will have the benfit of draft 11n wireless. The WRT54G is has been updated to the newer case removing the antennas internal. I would hold off on that one till it's has been full tested. As for as the older models I would only consider the WRT54GL, it give you the option to load linux firmware.
