Dealing with the same issue with horrible disconnects with the DI 624. Tried a Netgear rangemas (the WPN824) and the connection is unbelievable- solid and strong. I'm thinking of switching to the newer model though, the WPNT834NA, but I haven't tried it yet (the one I bought is returnable); the WPNT834NA has double the antenna gain, and purportedly is much better although much pricier.

    UPDATE:

I just purchased and installed a Netgear RangeMax 240. Its incredible. It is the newest one they have out and I paid a hefty $199 at Best Buy but in the end it's worth it.

I am getting full speed top bar connection anywhere in my home now and I have a 3000 sq foot 2 story house with lots of walls so its very nice. In comparison, my DI 824 was getting between 1 and 24 mbs in the same spot i am getting excellent connection with 54mbs.

I suppose I could have purchased the netgear nic card to go with it and get like 100 mbs but im cool with what I have achieved here.

After 3 hours of usage I have only seen this connection dip down to "very good" one time and only for a minute or so.

I would recommend this unit to anyone who has $200 to spend. It was easy to install and set up security as well.

If anyone has questions please feel free to ask.
