I know my Belkin works great for both PC and MAC.

don't worry about whether it wll work for mac and/or pc; the router can't tell the difference between them. just get the best router that you can afford.

The only problem I have run into is the Java script used on the MAC's are normally out dated. Once the Java was update every thing worked. I had one that Firefox did not work corectly, IE did. The latest firefox works fine.

The bottom line. You may have to use a pc to do the setup.
    As for routers,

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BELKIN. I have had friends buy them, all they got was constant lockups, hangs, dropped connection. Don't buy any 11n products, unless you are willing to deal with a lot of extra problem. It will be a year before the STD will be finallized.

I would buy Linksys, D-link, Netgear, USR. TomsHardware has published a chart on performace of all the routers they have tested.

    Ok thanks.
I think I will go with Netgear.

FWIW, I've always had problems with Netgear - if you have both platforms, mac & pc, I would go with Belkin because Belkin products are sold as an accessories at Apple.

like i said, you don't need to worry about mac vs. pc. i have two routers an SMC b/g router and a Netgear b/g router in my apt. both pc and mac notebooks have connected many times over many years without any problems.

like drunfu said it doesn't matter between PC and Mac. I'll suggest getting a Linksys like I always do.

Ok. I'll go for the Linksys since it's the cheapest among the brands listed above.
    Thanks for helping.
