So here's what I have to work with:
    Netgear WNDR 3700 - router
    Netgear DF7550 - gateway
    WesternDigital WDBABY0000NBK-NESN - Powerline adapters
Segate Goflex Home STAM2000100 - NAS
HP photosmart 3200 - network printer.
    Netgear GS105 - switch

So I have all this stuff and due to the request of the users I have to find a way to connect all of them.

I had all of this connected minus the DF7550. That part is new. It's replacing a 2 wire 2701hg-b gateway that according to the user is wearing out and showing signs of death. In reality it's just a very sensitive power plug. Never the less they want to replace the old gateway with the new one(DF7550).

That would be simple enough but the opposite end of the house is wired like a faraday cage so there's next to no wifi signal and they want to have wifi throughout the whole house. So the only solution I can think of is to keep the wifi router on the gateway enabled and plug the WNDR3700 router into the gateway like before and have it set up in a location within the "cage".

    The trouble is that:
    1) Im not sure if this is possible
    2) Im not sure how I would configure this if it is.

So, if anyone out there would be willing to give me there thoughts and input on this I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Fry

OK, I've installed the new gateway and it's operating under the same setup as the old was. However, when I tried to have both the new gateway and the previously existing router both broadcast a wifi signal I was unable to. Again, Im not even sure if this is possible so I may be trying in vain to get this setup to work.

If any one knows how to achieve this setup or if it is even possible, again, your thoughts and inputs would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks in advance

    Fry

New "router" wouldn't be set up as a router- just as an access point. See here for details.
