    hey eveyrone, im looking for a router b or g thats similar to the airport express but not as pricy, im primarily concerned with the ability to stream music from my computer to speakers
    if not a router is there any other piece of hardware out there that will let me do this

    I don't understand your music requirement, how are your speakers to receive the music feed?

    it was my understanding that in airtunes with the airport express one plugs the 3.5mm jack from speakers into a port on the actual router and the music is streamed to the router which in turns puts the signal out to the speakers...
    i was looking for something like this but not an apple version, it doesnt even have to be airtunes compatible...

    Ok, I see where you're going...at the moment I think the Apple product is your only option, though admittedly, I'm not folowing that market very closely.

    For right now, the Airport seems to be one the best solutions. Specially when you consider the costs of most wireless media hubs. But if cost isn't a factor and you really want additonal features then by all means look into a media hub.

    The Airport Express is probably your best and cheapest option. They should be compatible with PC's so you shouldn't have any problems getting it to work. It's small and very portable, plugs into any electrical outlet.
