I need help ASAP please. I've left the house and haven't found a place to stay of my own so no internet. I'm at my sisters house temporarily, and she doesn't want me touching her comp. Who wants to anyway. A P2 with 256mb and riva tnt 32mb card..HA! I have an i8200 with a 1150 truemobile card 2.2ghz, 1.5gb, GF4 440 go 64MB. I've never tried surfing wirelessly and know nothing about it, so I need help please. I would like to upgrade the card for something that would be faster, and support A and G frequencies so I can surf at a cafe down the block. I was also wondering about the 1150 abilities and performance as well. I know it only supports b and was wondering what frequency do cafe's use?

    from this website:
    http://www.geocities.com/thebithead/I8200FAQ.htm

it lists the 1300 as an upgrade from the 1150 which would support the G frequency as well. Would this be the right card to get, if not what do you suggest? Can I shove any card inside or do I have to worry about different sizes of the card cavity? I don't think I want a pcmcia card so a pci card is what i'm looking at.
Any suggestions, advice and opinions are wanted and welcomed!
    Thanks all!!!

    1) Yes, you do need to worry about the size of the card cavity. Make sure you are looking at mini-PCI cards, that is the slot available on your machine from what I can find.

    2) There is not a standard frequency used in wifi hotspots, it depends totally on whatever the place running the network picks. However you can never go wrong with going higher-performance as almost all cards that support g support a and b as well.

    3) Yes, that will work. In theory, you can upgrade all the way to the 1450 if you want according to the Dell forums. The second post describes more how to install--unfortunately, the link in the first set of posts does not work but I would check my user manual and that will probably be helpful.
