I'm going to need to take my laptop and do work on the internet around the country(most of the time south central U.S.) . I have a Verizon Wireless National Broadband Access card but the cost of this and regular internet for home is getting a bit absurd. Are there any other wireless solutions out there to fix this problem?

There are many providers working on a nationwide wifi cloud(Sprint xohm, etc), but its going to be YEARS before it even becomes close to nationwide. Your only option ATM is doing exactly what youre doing. I have to do the same thing as you. $150/mo(both mobile broadband and home broadband) isnt fun, but its really the only option right now.
