    Ive read many reviews off newegg and i wanted to ask if this ran warm/hot?

    From my experience it does, but when you put it on the stand, it cools down better.
    With linksys, to tell you the truth my router is barely warm or considered cold.

    It does run a bit warm but if you put it on the vertical stand, it doesn''t get as warm.

    yeah, i know linksys is good but my family has bought dlink for years, and we the network i built for my old yearbook staff i used netgear rack switches. which is the best, netgear, dlink, or linksys? on newegg, it seems to be up in the air.

    I have the 614 and don't notice it on the rare occasions I touch it. I also have a 624 which does not get warm.

    how about the Netgear WPN824. That is more than my budget but does anybody know about the quality of it?
