hello guys, I just bought a new Sony laptop, and its draft n compatible, but my computer is 3 years old, 478 chip from intel, so will this N draft router deliver N specification? or will it work at slower speed?

Can I do something or should I just go with G version? will G version even work with my computer?

well does your old computer have wireless? then which specification is it? and yes draft-n routers usually have b/g capability as well at the corresponding speed.

The 11n will drop back to 11g if that what you have in way of a router. So you will not be required to replace your other hardware unless you want the higher internal net (11n) speed.

Belkin are not known for reliablity, and have a high failure rate. Do you currently have a 11n router or are you going to be purchasing one? Right now all mfg are doing there own thing. Just like the 108+mbps used on 11g. They have said that they are going to try to have the spec so mfg will play with each other. Will have to wait and see. So if you want pre 11n compatability you need have every thing from the same mfg to get max speeds. The pre 11n v2 address the problem of not play well if 11g hardware is in range. So remember if you have 11g hardware it should drop out of MIMO mode, and may drop to 11g.

A 478 socket MB is probably a std PCI slot expansion. When using these card make sure you are not trying to shoot through the case. Or you will get poor performace and a lot of interference.
