I have a Sony desktop computer and I just upgraded my OS from Windows XP Home to Pro. My computer works perfectly fine now, but I cant connect to the internet. I did my SBC Yahoo DSL internet setup again and it wont let me progress. So I checked my network connections to see my net adapter and it seems to be working fine [its enabled and connected to my modem]. I checked the "support" and surprised to see that I dont have an address, ip address, etc. Is there any way I can fix this?

try: start/run/"cmd" type in ipconfig /release then type ipconfig /renew
hopefully this should force your nic to obtain an ip address from the dhcp

Try removing your nic drivers and reinstall it, if it doesnt respond to release/renew.

Did you enter your connection info, username/pw if PPoE.
